Lady Eagles Fall at Missouri Baptist 84-63

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Williams women's basketball team fell 84-63 to the Missouri Baptist Spartans on Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Eagles found themselves down from the start of the game and never were able to take a lead over the Spartans. 

Williams shot 33.3% from the field (21-63), 29.2% from the three-point line (7-24), and 70% from the free-throw line (14-20). 

Carson Defries led the team with 22 points coming off the bench, including 5 three-pointers. Nijah Moore was also in double figures off the bench with 14 points. 

Monica Horne led the team with 10 rebounds.

The Lady Eagles travel back to St. Louis on Thursday, February 2, but this time for a matchup against Harris-Stowe State. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
