ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Williams women's basketball team defeated the Harris-Stowe State Hornets 74-62 on Thursday night, behind a double-double from Italei Gray and double figure scoring from Tristan Richards, Kaylee Clark and Monica Horne.
The Lady Eagles and the Hornets were pretty evenly matched for most of the game, with each team trading blows with the other. However, the Lady Eagles turned it up in the fourth quarter and outscored the Hornets 16-5 to put the game out of reach.
Williams shot 38.8% from the field (26-67), 23.5% from the three-point line (4-17), and 78.3% from the free-throw line (18-23).
Gray had her second double-double of the year with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Richards led the team with 17 points, while Horne had 14 and Clark had 10.
