Lady Eagles Win Big Over Mustangs On Senior Day

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - The Williams women's basketball team defeated the Central Baptist College Mustangs 86-52 on Saturday as they honored their two senior players: Reesa Hampton and Italei Gray.

It was all Lady Eagles from the beginning as they outscored the Mustangs 18-11 in the first quarter and then 22-6 in the second quarter to go into halftime leading 40-17. They came out hot in the third quarter and outscored the Mustangs 28-14 en route to a 86-52 win. 

Williams shot 50.9% from the field (28-55), 30.4% from the three-point line (7-23), and 74.2% from the free-throw line (23-31). 

Gray led all scorers with 22 points, her first 20+ point game of the season. Hampton finished with 12 points after making four three-pointers. Tristan Richards finished with a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds. Nijah Moore also finished in dobule figures with 13 points, as well as Kaylee Clark with 11. 

Gray had six assists in the game, while Hampton had five. Richards finished with four blocks.
