Hooten Named AMC Offensive Player of the Week

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (12/2/24) – Williams Baptist University women's basketball junior Taylor Hooten was named the American Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the week for her performance in week six of the season.

Hooten scored a career-high 30 points against Evangel last Monday on 10-for-15 shooting, including four three-pointers.  The Quitman, Ark. native also led WBU with eight rebounds on the night, and threw in five assists.

Hooten is averaging 11.0 points per game through the first six games of the season, and is shooting a red-hot 41.2 percent from three-point range.

Williams is off to a 4-2 start in its 2024-25 campaign, including a 2-0 mark in AMC play.

The Eagles return to the court on Wednesday, Dec. 4 for an AMC matchup against Stephens.  Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. from Columbia, Mo.
