Crowe Named AMC Defensive Player of the Week
WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (11/3/25) – Williams Baptist University women's basketball junior Sara Crowe was named the American Midwest Conference Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the week for the first week of the season, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
The 2024-25 AMC co-Sixth Woman of the Year led the Lady Eagles to a 2-0 start to the season with six steals, seven blocks, and seven rebounds across the two games.
Crowe rejected four shots and made five steals in the season-opening victory over Missouri Baptist on Tuesday, then swatted three more blocks and added another steal in WBU's Homecoming victory over Ozarks.
Through the first two games, the Mammoth Spring, Ark. native leads the American Midwest Conference with 3.5 blocks per game, and ranks fourth in steals per game with 3.0.
Crowe and the Lady Eagles will return to the court Thursday, Nov. 6 on the road against Saint Mary. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. from Leavenworth, Kan.
