Lady Eagles to Face Lindsey Wilson in NAIA Tournament Opening Round

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (3/5/26) – The Williams Baptist University women's basketball team will travel to Montgomery, Ala. for the 2026 NAIA Women's Basketball First Round presented by Ballogy.

The 14-seeded Lady Eagles (24-5, 16-2 AMC) will face No. 3 seed Lindsey Wilson (21-8, 7-5 MSC) in the opening round of the 2026 NAIA Women's Basketball Tournament on Friday, March 13 in Montgomery, Ala.

The winner of the game will move on to face the winner of No. 6 Southeastern and No. 11 Faulkner.  The winner of that game will move on to the NAIA Women's Basketball Championship Final Site in Sioux City, Iowa.

Williams is making its third consecutive trip to the NAIA Tournament.  The Lady Eagles defeated Mobile in the round of 64 before falling to No. 1 Campbellsville in the second round.

WBU earned an automatic bid to the NAIA tournament after finishing as the runner-up in the American Midwest Conference Tournament.  

Lindsey Wilson earned an at-large bid for their 20th appearance in the tournament.  The Blue Raiders fell to (RV) Cumberlands in the first round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament.

The game will be streamed live on the Urban Edge Network on Friday, March 13 at 6 p.m.
